GE MDI10 369B1843G5001 Digital Input Module

The MDI10 I/O module is capable of accepting up to 16 digital inputs with 24V voltage level, the all 16 channels of one module can be configured as sink current mode or source current mode with function of Sequence of event (SOE). The module contains a processor board common to all Next Gen DCS distributed I/O modules, two acquisition boards specific to the digital input function, which is mounted on a base board specific to the digital input function. The external resistor is necessary if need the detection of open circuit for digital input. The module provides the electrical interface between one or two I/O Ethernet networks called IONET and field analog input signals.

Visual diagnostics are provided through indicator LEDs, which are same as MAI10, don't describe them again.There is simple indication for IO acquisition circuit in the front panel for each channel, it will be on when the channel input is "1".

The types of digital input that can be accommodated are as follows:

· Dry contact

· Appoximator: Sink current mode (DC PNP)

· Appoximator: Source current mode (DC NPN)
