Functional Description

SM812K01 Safety CPU Module Kit

Collaborating safety CPU. Connects to CEX bus after BC810CEX bus interconnection box. Including:

- SM812, Safety Module

- TP868, Baseplate, width = 60 mm

- TK852V10, Synchronization link cable

The SM812 contains two pc-boards. The main board contains the MPC866, SDRAM, Flash PROM, and

CEX-Bus slave interface. A daughter board contains digital I/O, +3.3V supply with over-voltage protection 

and voltage monitoring. The termination plate contains CEX-Bus connectors and connectors for the digital 

I/O.

The High Integrity controller is able to run SIL3 applications using SM812. Performing a Hot swap or

inserting an additional/replacement SM812 into a running system affects SIL3 applications.
