GE MAI10 369B1841G5001 Analog Input Module

The MAI10 I/O module is capable of handling up to 16 mA/V analog inputs, the each one of which can be configured as ±5 V or ±10 V inputs, or 0-20 mA current loop inputs. The module contains a processor board common to all Next Gen DCS distributed I/O modules, two acquisition boards specific to the mA/V analog input function, which is mounted on a base board specific to the analog input function. The module provides the electrical interface between one or two I/O Ethernet networks called IONET and field analog input signals.

Visual diagnostics are provided through indicator LEDs, which are shown as follows:

· Power 

· Run 

· Internal Error 

· External Failure 

· Net A 

· Net B

A green LED labeled Power shows the presence of control power, which is always on after power on IO module. 

A green LED labeled Run shows the firmware status. When firmware is in initialization or download phase, there is a flash rate with 1 per second, or else there is a flash rate with 2 per second. When CPU died, the LED will be steady or off. 

A red LED labeled Internal Error shows the failure of RAM, EEPROM, Flash, RAM set value and EEPROM set value, and the high inside temperature, and the wrong board match, which will be off when failure recovers. 

A red LED labeled External Error shows the failure of open and short circuit of channel, which will be off when failure recovers.

A green LED labeled Net A indicates the communication state when the package is transmitted and received over the Ethernet port A with a flash rate with 2 per second. When lose Ethernet communication, the LED will be off. When CPU died, the LED will be steady or off. 

A green LED labeled Net B indicates the communication state when the package is transmitted and received over the Ethernet port B with a flash rate with 2 per second. When lose Ethernet communication, the LED will be off. When CPU died, the LED will be steady or off.
